Humans want to tame nature, they want the earth to stand still, so that no earthquake could happen, no flood could come, no volcano could ever erupt. They want to be absolute rulers of the Universe. They want no disease to touch them and no sorrow to cast shadows on their souls. Humans are too proud and expect for too much, they want too many things and never like to give anything back. They consider that being thankful is weakness or ignorance. Not thankful to deities or supreme ethereal beings, but thankful to nature, because it allows us to live on its territory, which we are trying to subdue and conquer and which we end up destroying. If I were Nature, I would not allow so much insolence from such tiny creatures!

Of Men And... Not So Much
I have recently tested a hypothesis of mine according to which men of all ages never manage to overcome the mental age of 14. I tested on male subjects aged 18 to 80. The result of the study was that most of them don't even reach mental puberty and that the vast majority places itself in the 3rd grade, as they do have some basic numeracy skills, essential to playing video games and some geolocating skills, meaning that they can find their own way home with or without the use of a GPS. The extremely few ones who manage to reach the mental age of 18 are mostly victims of their own success, as being entitled to alcohol consumption, they often regress to the stage of toddlers.
